No two jobs or fields are the same so we like to quote for each job individually. This way you know exactly how much you will be paying regardless of how long it ends up taking us.
However, the prices below will give you a rough idea of what some of our typical groundcare jobs cost.
Our prices take into account our insurance costs, labour, and machinery costs. Diesel is included in these prices and we are not currently VAT registered so there is no VAT to add.
Long Grass Mowing/Topping With Flail Mower
£60 per hour – Short grass less than 1-foot in height we can cut at around 1-acre per hour. Tall grass 1-3ft in height we can cut at around 1 acre in 2 hours. Taller than 3ft will take longer as will mowing around obstacles.
Short Grass Mowing With Finishing Mower
£55 per hour – We can mow around one acre of short grass (less than one-foot in height) per hour providing there are not too many obstacles like trees to mow around.
Grass Harrowing With Spring Tine Harrows
£50 per hour – In one hour we can cover approximately 2-acres with a single pass. We would normally recommend crossing the field in two passes.
Land / Field Rolling
£50 per hour – In one hour we can cover approximately 2-acres with a single pass.
Travel Costs
We don’t charge extra for travel within 5 miles of DY14 0QU (Clee Hill). Additional miles outside of this area are charged at £2 per mile.
Minimum Charge
We operate a minimum charge of £150 even if the job only takes us 30 minutes. This is because of the time and cost required to load, secure and travel with a compact tractor and equipment.
Example Job Pricing
To help clarify our charges here are some examples:
- A 4-acre field of short grass 5 miles from DY14 0QU that requires cutting with our finishing mower. 4 hours work at £55 per hour. Total price £220.
- A 2-acre field with long grass (1-3ft tall) within 5 miles of DY14 0QU that requires cutting with our flail mower. 4 hours work at £60 per hour. Total price £240.
- A 1-acre field 10 miles from DY14 0QU that requires cutting with our finishing mower. 1 hour of work at £55 per hour + £10 additional mile charge. This triggers our £120 minimum charge. Total price £120.
- A 4-acre field 20 miles from DY14 0QU that requires harrowing with two passes. 4 hours of work at £50 per hour. Plus £30 additional mile charge. Total price £230.
